Within the context of IS credit Inn-1, Innovation can be defined as project (or project team) initiatives that contribute something new or make a significant change to an existing product or process in an infrastructure project.
Innovation initiatives must address a valid sustainable development issue; show a significant sustainability benefit that is measurable, evidenced and capable of being objectively assessed; and be related to the design, construction or operation of the infrastructure project.

Attend this two-day virtual lead instructor training (vILT) course and familiarise yourself with the best practice tools and processes used in assessing the sustainability of an operating asset. Participants will explore the tangible and intangible benefits of sustainability initiatives across a range of sectors and create a master plan for the implementation of an IS rating on an operational asset.
Successful completion of IS Rating Skills AND IS for Operations including an end-of-course assessment provides the recommended skillset for an assessor undertaking an IS for Operations rating.
It is strongly recommended that an ISAP undertaking an Operations rating complete the IS for Operations training.
