Description
Design & As Built
This one day course will investigate the development and workings of the IS D&AB rating scheme. Learners will explore categories and credits, diving into credit requirements, credit linkages and how to address credit criteria.
Digital pre-course materials provide learners with an introduction to the content prior to the facilitated session. Delivered virtually, this short course can be completed in half a day.
Great for geographically dispersed or remote attendees looking to connect into the industry and collaborate with like minded individuals, the virtual environment allows for social interaction and networking without the travel and accommodation costs of traditional learning.
Completion of the Design and as Built Assessment will provide participants access to IS Essentials and the ISAP Exam.
IS Essentials
IS Essentials is an infrastructure sustainability rating tool that encompasses the Design and Construction phases of an infrastructure project and is applicable across all asset types. Completion of this course will empower learners to measure sustainability and quadruple bottom line performance of infrastructure projects of up to $100M capex.

ISAP Exam
Completion of the ISAP Exam with a Pass grade will provide the participant with ISAP Accreditation. This includes Certificate of Completion and Digital Badge.
Digital Badge
The ISAP digital badge serves as a credible, electronic validation of an individual's skills, offering a shareable emblem of Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional status.

Learning objectives
IS Design & As Built
Participants will leave with the ability to:
• Navigate the IS Technical Manual and associated additional guidance
• Perform a credit deep dive to identify important elements of key IS v2.1 credits
• Use IS credit summaries to define appropriate evidence for credits.
• Outline opportunities to maximise outcomes when implementing an ISv2.1 rating.
IS Essentials
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Identify the intricacies of an IS Essentials rating
• Demonstrate how project elements & context are considered to identify material areas of sustainability
• Apply two IS Essentials project pathways (Base Case and Base Case Lite Option) to demonstrate resource efficiency in relevant credits
• Identify credits that have reduced requirements in comparison to D&AB
• Execute the steps needed to complete the submission process using the digital IS Rating Portal

Course structure
• Participants will gain access to Design and As Built pre-course materials 7 days before the first facilitated session.
• Design and As Built facilitated sessions will be hosted on Zoom. Meeting links will become available in IS Learn on completion of the pre-course work.
• Complete the Design and As Built end of course assessment to gain access to the IS Essentials modules, and the ISAP exam.
• On completion of the ISAP exam, 12 months access to the ISAP resources is granted.
• To maintain ISAP accreditation and access to ISAP resources, an annual ISAP renewal exam must be completed.
