Xypex Concentrate

Xypex Concentrate is a high-performance system for delivering sustainability to existing concrete structures. It is enhanced by Xypex’s unique crystalline technology that can assist clients meet project sustainability targets for concrete infrastructure across all construction industry sectors. Xypex Concentrate is applied as a cementitious slurry to the surface of existing concrete structures to deliver durability and watertightness to the concrete. The active chemicals diffuse into the substrate from the coating and react with moisture and the constituents of hardened concrete to cause a catalytic reaction which generates a permanent, non-soluble crystalline structure which blocks the pores, capillary tracts and micro-cracks within the concrete substrate and permanently seals the concrete against the penetration of water from any direction. Xypex Crystalline Technology delivers durability which protects both the steel reinforcement and concrete from all types of corrosion and as it becomes an integral component within the matrix of the concrete, it remains active for the life of the structure and provides self-healing properties for static micro-cracks up to 0.4mm wide. Xypex Concentrate can be applied by brush or spray. Independent testing supports all aspects of its performance.
