About

Through our Hy-Tec and Adbri Concrete brands we supply high-strength, decorative, speciality and lower carbon concrete to help customers Build Better. We use lower carbon cement to make lower carbon concrete, benefiting projects with improved sustainability performance. Our Futurecrete® lower carbon concrete range uses lower carbon cement and SCMs to reduce embodied carbon by a minimum of 30%* compared to the AusLCI baseline. In Sydney, Victoria, South Australia and the Northern Territory. Futurecrete is made using EvoCem, a pioneering lower carbon cement made by Adbri which uses less clinker, reducing emissions, helping customers meet project sustainability targets. Our concrete sustainability results are backed by independently verified EPDs. We also offer a bespoke EPD service, with our verified EPD calculator enabling customers to design custom lower carbon concrete mixes with EPD verification.

Futurecrete is designed to offer a minimum of 30% reduction of embodied carbon per m3 concrete when compared with the AusLCI benchmark for concrete containing GP cement with no cement substitution.

Rso-6 (ISv2.1) Materials lifecycle impact measurement and reduction. Material Life Cycle Impact Measurement and Management This credit requires the design and construction of the project in ways that reduce the environmental impacts of materials across the life cycle of the infrastructure asset. Adbri’s Futurecrete lowers the carbon credentials of concrete through lower carbon materials formulated to meet the performance of the concrete’s desired properties whilst reducing the overall embodied carbon. Adbri’s concrete is measured against the appropriate standards to assess the materials Life Cycle Impacts and published in on demand EPDs for verified carbon credentials that qualifies the carbon savings.

Futurecrete comes with a Product specific Environmental Product Disclosure (EPD) which is a recognised environmental label.
