About
ISA creates social and economic outcomes through major infrastructure projects. We advise across the full lifecycle of projects from planning to delivery, helping major projects meet legislative obligations as well as cost, productivity, quality and safety requirements. As internationally recognised experts in social sustainability and economic development, ISA advises a variety of clients: government, industry, contractors and corporations. ISA focuses on development and delivery strategy approaches and programs to drive wider socio-economic benefits within major projects including jobs, skills development, diversity and inclusion, industry capability and local business opportunities. Our approach includes workforce planning including skills and labour forecasting; collaboration with industry and standard bodies to develop qualifications, competency schemes, licences and training packages, as well as strategic review and development of training provision, supporting skills providers to deliver high quality employer-responsive curricula.
Sustainability Outcomes
Our advisory services enable workforce sustainability across the full lifecycle of projects. ISA’s workforce sustainability outcomes contribute to SDGs 3 (Good health and wellbeing), 4 (Quality education), 5 (Gender equality), 8 (Decent work and economic growth) and 10 (Reduced inequalities). ISA bridges Industry skills gaps and creates skilled workers equipped to contribute to the workforce in the future. We do so, for example, when developing workforce training and development strategies. ISA addresses broader Industry skills gaps by creating local, sustainable employment opportunities through apprenticeships and opportunities for local businesses. This drives down costs, improves the quality of employees and builds project capacity and capability. Socio-economic benefits include improved health outcomes, and employment and education opportunities for underrepresented groups. ISA has worked closely with ISCA developing the Workforce Sustainability category for the IS rating tool.
