ASPIRE- Material marketplace and exchange

Sustainability Outcomes

ASPIRE is an online matchmaking tool using innovative software, for material resource exchange that would otherwise be discarded, by bringing different parties together to exchange value.

As an impact organisation, we identify opportunities and connect businesses to turn circular economy behaviours into practical realities by:

  • Reducing costs associated with waste disposal
  • Earning money with a new revenue stream
  • Saving on CO2 emissions using localised solutions
  • ISO variation of CO2 In accordance with ISO 14044, 14067, 21930

Rso-1 Data Collection and Analysis: ASPIRE collects data on resource upload and regulatory compliance. This data is processed by an algorithm that matches data connections and performs the analysis. The resulting information is used to connect and exchange resources, diverting them from landfills and into the recycling market. Resource Exchange: ASPIRE's platform allows businesses to upload, buy, and sell over 200 resources. This facilitates the exchange of resources that would otherwise be discarded, promoting resource efficiency and a circular economy. Landfill Diversion: By facilitating the exchange of resources, ASPIRE helps divert waste from landfills. This is a crucial aspect of resource efficiency and a circular economy, as it reduces the demand for new resources and minimises waste. Impact Measurement: ASPIRE measures the impact of its platform in terms of landfill diversion (in tons) and embodied carbon measured (in tons). This allows businesses to see the tangible benefits of participating in the circular economy.
Rso-4 ASPIRE actively promotes resource reuse and reduces landfill waste through a multi-pronged approach. Their Resource Exchange Platform empowers users to trade resources that might otherwise be discarded, fostering beneficial reuse and lowering landfill volumes. ASPIRE goes beyond aiding businesses in finding innovative recycling solutions and creating sustainable supply chains. They offer data analytics, highlighting landfill diversion and embodied carbon reductions, incentivising waste reduction. Real-world success stories, like a food manufacturer cutting hazardous waste treatment costs, underscore ASPIRE's impact. At its core, ASPIRE champions the circular economy, extending material lifecycles and diminishing landfill reliance. Through resource exchange facilitation, data-driven insights, and circular economy advocacy, ASPIRE drives improved waste management for businesses, yielding environmentally sustainable results.
Rso-6 ASPIRE's approach to reducing the environmental impacts of materials across the life cycle of an infrastructure asset is multifaceted and rooted in the principles of the circular economy. At the heart of ASPIRE's platform is a resource exchange system that connects businesses with each other, enabling them to trade resources that would otherwise be discarded. This not only promotes the beneficial reuse and recycling of materials but also reduces the demand for new materials and the waste associated with their production.
Mat-1 ASPIRE's approach to reducing the environmental impacts of materials across the life cycle of an infrastructure asset is multifaceted and rooted in the principles of the circular economy. At the heart of ASPIRE's platform is a resource exchange system that connects businesses with each other, enabling them to trade resources that would otherwise be discarded. This not only promotes the beneficial reuse and recycling of materials but also reduces the demand for new materials and the waste associated with their production.
Was-1 ASPIRE rewards the sustainable waste management plans and practices by: Revenue Generation: ASPIRE allows businesses to earn revenue from waste by selling it to other businesses that can use it. This creates a new revenue stream for businesses and promotes a circular economy. Environmental Impact: ASPIRE measures the CO2 emissions savings from waste exchanges, providing businesses with a tangible measure of their environmental impact. For instance, ASPIRE facilitated exchanges of resources on the platform, resulting in 24,000kg of concrete rubble diverted from landfill, $20,400 of waste disposal savings, and 48,000kg of embodied carbon emissions savings.
Was-2 ASPIRE rewards the diversion of waste from landfill in several ways: Cost Savings: By facilitating the exchange of waste materials between businesses, ASPIRE helps companies save on waste disposal costs. For example, a food manufacturer of yeast products in Australia found multiple exchanges for various by-products in its supply chain through ASPIRE, saving $30,000 in treating hazardous waste materials and $13,000 in waste costs from diverting materials from landfill. Regulatory Compliance: ASPIRE helps businesses comply with environmental regulations by facilitating the diversion of waste from landfill and promoting recycling. Data Analytics and Reporting: ASPIRE provides businesses with data analytics on their waste exchanges and the benefits they gain from the platform. This can help businesses track their progress and make informed decisions about their waste management practices. Case Studies: ASPIRE provides case studies of successful waste diversion and the benefits it has brought to businesses. These case studies serve as proof of concept and can encourage more businesses to participate in waste diversion.
